What is ovarian stimulation?
Term ovarian stimulation generally used to:
• Induce ovulation in patient with ovulatory disorder to help them conceive.
• Egg retrieval in IVF treatment.
• To store egg (freezing) for future use.

How it works?
In normal menstrual cycle, a normal ovulating female release one egg and in female with ovulatory disorder it doesn’t occur naturally, so medication are given to patient in order to stimulate the ovarian function.
Stages of IVF treatment:
• Ovarian stimulation.
• Oocyte retrieval.
• Insemination/ ICSI.
• Embryo Transfer.
Ovarian stimulation is achieved by Gonadotropin. Injection containing Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) & Luteinizing Hormone (LH). These help in stimulate the growth of multiple follicles in ovaries. Once patient follicles over 17-18mm in diameter oocyte retrieval is done.
