A common type of noncancerous tumor that can develop in uterus is known as uterine fibroids. While not all fibroids cause symptoms, those that do include heavy menstruation, back pain, frequent urination, and sexual discomfort are all possible outcomes. Larger fibroids can be treated surgically but smaller fibroids typically do not require surgical treatment.
