When a woman (the “donor”) gives her eggs to another woman (the “recipient”) so that the recipient can have a baby, this is known as egg donation. The donor have to take injections of hormones for ovulation for a time period of 10-12 days. During this time, the ultrasound study is done to evaluate the size of follicle and once mature they are retrieved with the help of ultrasound probe and needle. The retrieved eggs are evaluated and each egg is then inseminated with sperm to form embryos.
